I Am The People
// Plot_Synopsis
The Arab Spring became known to the world through mass, grassroots actions in urban settings from Tunis to Tahrir Square in Cairo. Roussillon's documentary, by contrast, probes below the grassroots, exploring Egypt's political dramas, from the fall of Mubarak to the rise of Morsi, through the perspective of a small village and its rural inhabitants who saw the political convulsions of the centre from a distance via mass media. In the end, we must ask what has really changed for them.
